Measuring and recording blood pressure. Pressure Rating Indicator visually indicates user's blood pressure category from measurements taken (see details inside). Irregular heartbeat feature alerts user of presence of an irregular heartbeat and provides blood pressure and pulse rate measurements even if an irregular heartbeat occurs. Displays average reading: Calculates the average of the total readings stored in memory; a convenient way to get a snapshot of your measurements over time. Time and date: This monitor provides the time and date a measurement was taken. Clock: Always on for added use. Memory button to access up to 90 previous readings. This box contains a large cuff. Requires four AA batteries, not included. Blood pressure measurements determined with this device are equivalent to those obtained by a trained observer using the cuff/stethoscope auscultation method within the limits prescribed by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI/AAMI SP10) for electronic sphygmomanometers.
Directions | |
1. Slide on cuff and secure comfortably. 2. Press start button. Squeeze bulb to inflate cuff. 3. Blood pressure is measured as cuff automatically deflates. Results will be displayed on the screen. Choose the right cuff: Using the correct size cuff is important for an accurate reading. Measure the circumference of your upper arm at the midpoint between the shoulder and elbow. The medium cuff can be used on either arm. This monitor is not compatible with Lifesource small cuffs. Medium: Arm size 9.4 - 14.2 inches (24-36 cm). Please see package insert for additional directions.
